چکیده
Twenty-three coffee (Coffea arabica) genotypes were evaluated for relative resistance against white stem borer (Xylotrechus quadripes) and leaf rust (Hemileia vastatrix) at Horticulture Research Station, Malepatan, Pokhara during three consecutive years from 2016 to 2019. The monthly observation on the emergence of this showed that "Yellow caturra" “Tekisic” highly infested with as compared other genotypes. However, no infestation was observed in Catimor, San Ramon, Indo Tim-Tim, Ketisic, Pacas, Syangja special both Vermelo Amarillo groups Catui Caturra acessions. Similarly, Tim-Tim Ramon determined be resistant rust. While germplasm- Ketisic also recorded relatively These results have important implications development high yielding variety future.

Influence of Environmental Conditions and Genetic Background of Arabica Coffee (C. arabica L) on Leaf Rust (Hemileia vastatrix) Pathogenesis
Global warming is a major threat to agriculture worldwide. Between 2008 and 2013, some coffee producing countries in South and Central America suffered from severe epidemics of coffee leaf rust (CLR), resulting in high economic losses with social implications for coffee growers. The climatic events not only favored the development of the pathogen but also affected the physiological status of th...

This study considered the production economics of coffee in Pakuwa village development committee of Parbat district, Nepal. Household Survey was done in June 2014. Data collection was done using semi-structured pre-tested questionnaire administered on 40 coffee producers selected randomly. Gross margin analysis, profitability index and the benefit-cost ratio was used to analyze the production e...

The aim of the present research was to test the transferability of simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers developed in two Uredinales species to Hemileia vastatrix, coffee rust. The development of efficient techniques for the identification of H. vastatrix isolates is imperative, given the continuous development of new races. The transferability of 25 SSR markers developed in the related Uredinal...
متن کاملCryptosexuality and the Genetic Diversity Paradox in Coffee Rust, Hemileia vastatrix
BACKGROUND Despite the fact that coffee rust was first investigated scientifically more than a century ago, and that the disease is one of the major constraints to coffee production--constantly changing the socio-economic and historical landscape of the crop--critical aspects of the life cycle of the pathogen, Hemileia vastatrix, remain unclear. The asexual urediniospores are regarded as the on...
